About Me

I have a unique career journey that combines psychology, business, and technology. I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Developmental Psychology from the University of Kansas in 2010, followed by an MBA from Ottawa University in 2012. I was able to apply this knowledge to both the banking and airline industries. After 2015, I dedicated several years to being a stay-at-home parent, further strengthening my skills in problem-solving, time management, and adaptability.

In 2025, I completed a second Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from WGU, equipping me with strong foundations in software development, data structures, and algorithmic problem-solving. Now, I am eager to reenter the workforce and apply my skills in software engineering and data-driven solutions. My background in psychology and business gives me a unique perspective on technology’s role in solving real-world problems.

Projects

• 🏷️ Smart Pricing Engine – Created a full-stack pricing optimization tool (FastAPI + JavaScript) that applies machine learning demand-elasticity models to recommend dynamic prices. Added real-time alerts, CSV export, and an interactive frontend. Helps retailers respond faster to competitor moves, avoid stockouts, and improve margins through data-driven pricing decisions.
• 🐴 Smart Stable Scheduler – Developed a single-page web application (HTML/JS/CSS) with an interactive Gantt visualization and a constraint-aware scheduling algorithm using a greedy heuristic to handle worker skills, shift windows, and task deadlines. Optimized for 100% on-time completion in baseline scenarios, with architecture extensible to OR-Tools CP-SAT for exact optimization, and deployed as a zero-install, offline-ready demo via GitHub Pages.
• 📦 Brand-in-a-Box – Created an AI marketing asset generator (Next.js, TypeScript) using Ollama/OpenAI for copy and a multi-provider image pipeline. Gives slogan and tagline ideas for advertisements on any inputted product. Reduced time to draft ad campaigns from minutes to less than 10 seconds per concept. The app supports offline development and cost-controlled deployment. Deployed via Vercel.
• 🚜 Autonomous Tractor Simulation – Developed a browser-based demo of A* pathfinding and boustrophedon full-field coverage built with vanilla HTML/CSS/JavaScript and Canvas. It shows how smarter routing reduces overlap and fuel/time, supports “what-if” field planning, and helps train/align non-technical stakeholders through an interactive, visual model.
